World Book Day

Class: Ladybirds and Butterflies Year: 2019 - 2020

Ladybirds and Butterflies had a brilliant World Book Day. They enjoyed coming to school in their PJs. During the morning Eager Beavers read to the children with hot chocolate, squirty cream, marshmallows and a chocolate biscuit!  The Eager Beavers were fantastic readers. They had practised the books and they put lots of expression and actions into the stories, which is what younger children love so thank you Eager Beavers. We loved it so much that we are going to make it a regular event! In the afternoon, the children then took part in a book quiz, the Butterflies had to read the clues to the Ladybirds and then try and figure out the book title together. The children loved this and were great book detectives! We then opened our new outdoor Story Shed. What a fantastic day.
