Lancashire Equality Mark
Over the academic year 2020/21 we worked towards the Lancashire Equality Mark strands of:
Race Equality
Religion and Belief Equality
Socio-economic Equality
Following a successful accreditation visit in July 2021 the school was awarded all three of the strands identified. The assessor visiting school commented that the practice seen was securely embedded across school and has asked school to share our practice with other schools through the Equality Network meetings. We are thrilled that our practice has been recognised in this way and look forward to sharing with colleagues across Lancashire.
Over the academic year 2021/22 we worked towards the Lancashire Equality Mark for Disability. After an accreditation visit on 18th July 2022 we are thrilled to share that school were awarded the Disability Equality Mark. The assessor visiting school commented that the practice of using pupil voice to make chnages in school was a particular strength.
Over the academic year 2022/23 we worked towards the Lancashire Equality Mark strands of:
Sexual Oreintation Equality
Sex Equality
We are pleased that after an accreditation visit on 11th July 2023 the school have been awarded both of these strands. This also means that we have now achieved the Lancashire Equality Mark in full. This is testament to all of the hard work of staff and pupils over the past three years. Of course the journey is not over yet as we are continually committed to working towards equality across our curriculum in school.
