The Wise Owls enjoyed their most recent art day where they learnt about Surrealism. The children learnt all about Surrealism as an art movement, which evolved because of the concurrent developments in the world. They looked at work from artists: Rene Magritte, Meret, Oppenheim, and Leonara Carrington. The children then considered the impact Surrealism has had on today, looking particularly at advertising. Finally, they manipulated images digitally to create their own Surrealist inspired artworks.
