Class: Ladybirds and Butterflies Year: 2020 - 2021

The children have had a fantastic week of maths. Here are some photographs to show case their work. 

In Ladybirds and Butterflies the children made an outdoor impossible stairs case in response to the story ‘Molly and the Magical Mystery’ book by Dr. Eugenia Cheng. They took on challenges by the Cambridge Maths Team to find numbers and make 2D shapes. We learn the daily maths rhyme and loved doing all the actions. We ended the week with an activity from the Maths on Toast website to create a number character. The children then each told a number story using stories like The Three Little Pigs as inspiration. We had Five Little Ninjas, Ten Dancing People, Five Tasty Cookies, Eight Little Pigs, Nine Cows, to name a few. #MathsWeekEngland #PositiveAboutMaths
