Michael Morpurgo Reports

This half-term, the children have had great fun reading a book called Friend or Foe, written by famous children's author, Michael Morpurgo.  The book is set during World War 2 and tells the story of two best friends, Tucky and David, who are evacuated from London and go to live in Devon.  The children were so engaged and interested in the story and were always asking me to read on so they could find out what happened to the characters.  The book gave all the children the opportunity to empathise with the young boys in the novel and they all came up with arguments for and against helping the German Pilots on Dartmoor.

The best thing about this book is that it has inspired many children to pick up other Michael Morpurgo books.  We have many of his stories in our class library.  The children also decided to produce a mini-report on this wonderful author.  I hope that you enjoy watching them
