Diwali - The Festival of Light

Ladybirds and Butterflies have enjoyed learning about the special time of 'Diwali' within our RE lessons. We have talked about light overcoming darkness and why this is important. We discovered that Hindus celebrate Diwali by decorating the front of their houses with Rangoli, lighting Diya and enjoying fireworks.

We created our own Diya to celebrate Diwali and some fantastic, colourful firework pictures.
