Chinese New Year

Class: Ladybirds and Butterflies Year: 2019 - 2020

This week the children have enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year.  We have tried some fortune cookies for our snack. We then looked at all the words inside the cookie. We then thought about the words and how we could wish fortune to our mummies and daddies. The children then chose a parent to write a fortune for. We then baked our fortune in a rock cake to give to our grown up. We hope your fortunes come true. The words the children thought of are from the heart and absolutely gorgeous.

We have looked at the lucky blossom tree and created our own version of a blossom tree. Look out for when our blossom blooms. We have listened to Chinese folktales, information about China and learnt about the year of the rat. We hope you enjoy looking at all our learning.
