School Performance Data

Standards at Westhead Lathom St. James Church of England Primary School are consistently high, frequently higher than national and local averages.

In order to enable The Department for Education and the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) to be able to compare the performance of all schools nationally, children’s attainment and progress at the end of Key Stage 2, in reading, writing, maths, grammar, punctuation and spelling is tested and results published.

The results do not measure the way each child has developed socially, emotionally, spiritually and physically or the ways in which they’ve all  grown in confidence and skill levels to perform on stage and sports fields to entertain us, make us smile and warm our hearts.

The end of KS2 scores are only a snap-shot of the children’s achievements at the end of their primary school.  We’re proud of each and every one of them. They too are proud of themselves-and deserve to be.

Our results do reflect the tremendous amount of hard work that children, staff and parents have put into their school-work over the years.

Please take a look at the tables below which show attainment (the level achieved) and achievement (progress made over time).
